There are two neotropic cormorants at Lake Montezuma. Yesterday March 4th there were six turkey vultures overhead.
The great blue herons came back early February and hung around through the extreme cold spell although one of the two nests near our house fell.

A strange thing is happening at the lake with the Egyptian geese. The three are still there despite hanging out on the roads as  cars pass by. They can fly having flown over our house. But one of the three has become an item with a domestic greylag type goose. They are always together. And they were both flying around with the domestic greylag  chasing the Egyptian goose.
