Varied Thrush on FR418
Today (10/22/16), between 3:00 and 5:00, John and I observed a beautiful male Varied Thrush coming in to a temporal mud "pond" on the north side of FR418 just west of mile marker 9. (N35 degrees, 24' 7"/ W111 degrees, 37'24") It was associating with 10 American Robins, 8 Townsend's Solitaires, a pair of Williamson's Sapsuckers, 1 Red-naped Sapsucker and other expected species. I photographed the subject bird but am on the road; I will add photos later if anyone wishes to see them.
