Some birds just east of Flagstaff
This weekend, we backpacked along the Arizona Trail east of Flagstaff, near Walnut Canyon.  Lots of interesting birds:

gray flycatcher (in numbers)
red-faced warbler
black-throated gray warbler (in numbers)
peregrine falcon
Cooper's hawk
spotted owl
a few broad-tailed hummingbirds
turkey (only my 2nd ever in Arizona--somehow I never see these)

Plus big flocks of robins, Townsend's solitaires (not living up to their name), and violet-green swallows moving through.
