Cameron, 7 May: Northern Waterthrush
I made a very early morning trip to Cameron, trying to stay ahead of the wind.
Highlights at Tappan Spring were 1 Northern Waterthrush, 1 spiffy male Townsend's Warbler, and a nice selection of Empids.
The Cameron Trading Post courtyard looks to be MUCH more attractive for birds compared to any of my visits in 2016. It looks like the major re-design and re-planting efforts are over, and vegetation is being allowed to fill in now. The mulberry tree is heavily laden with immature fruit; it only had one Western Tanager in it today, but bears checking anytime over the next couple weeks.
