Both subject birds were in the grass right behind the store. As always, don't forget to ask permission to go into the campground, and throw the store some business when you get a chance.

I wonder if this is the same bird that Chuck found on 10/18 at the RV park.

It was still showing nicely at 2:00 p.m. today.

It very well could be, though a lot of people have failed to see it between now and then!

That's what I was thinking Jason. This grackle is very conspicuous and I think Chuck's bird would be have been seen again at the feeder. Several people were there after the 18th.

I lean toward it being a different bird...11 days have passed and no one has reported one in that time despite numberous visits by several observers (and it not being seen after the morning of the 18th)...and the first bird quite shy/skittish and this bird today was quite tame/confiding.

To be fair, today's bird was pretty skittish too. We had to wait quietly for a long while until it decided it was safe to leave the several trees it perched in.

Eventually it decided that it was Ok and briefly hit the feeder.
