Black and White Warbler at Walnut Canyon Lakes
I found a male Black and White Warbler in an aspen at the south end of the lakes (last house at the Russian Olive group). It was hanging on for dear life as the wind was really picking up.

As usual for me with this species, I was stumped for about 4 seconds before I realized what it was.

The black streaking on a white breast and along the flanks, dark wings with white steaks, and finally it showed it's head for nice looks at the white supercillum and central crown stripe.

I had a good morning of birding with Joe Crouse at Cave Spring today. We found an early Lazuli Bunting.
