sedona birds
1. sedona wetlands - SOLITARY SANDPIPER, BLACK-NECKED STILTS, least sandpipers and long-billed dowichers. common gallinule, all 3 teal, sora, virginia rail and snipe all in pond 1 as the pond is mostly drained for mudflats.
3. reports of summer tanager, hooded & scott's oriole, lazuli bunting, gray vireo, male costa's hummingbird.
4. our yard is more like winter with 10 straight days of multiple EVENING GROSBEAKS, many continuing cassin's finches, a few nice looking audubon's warblers, a couple remaining juncos, a surprising brewer's blackbird, and a couple american goldfinches.
5. but also like spring with a pair of house wrens in a nest box, black hawks on nest, yellow warbler singing, 1 rufous hummingbird (pretty rare in spring here), unfortunately a cowbird, and summer tanager at suet.
