Burrowing Owl - Kachina Wetlands
I went to Kachina Wetlands this morning and saw a burrowing owl fly out of a pipe. As you are entering on the main pathway near the first T, we saw it fly out of a pipe on the right side and land on a rocky outcrop nearby. It hung out there and then flew across the field and landed on another rock outcrop.

We walked down the ravine and examined the pipe and saw some bird poo and a bunch of ants at the opening, so maybe the ants agitated the owl and made him come out.

Anyway, I don't think burrowing owls  are super common around here so I thought I'd share.
