Pulse of Hermit Warblers
A Hermit Warbler showed up on my East Flagstaff yard's camera trap yesterday, and then checking eBird reports I noticed that a smattering of reports have come in from all over Coconino in the last week. Looks like the fall warbler migration has begun!

RE: Pulse of Hermit Warblers
The recent dry spell, which I suspect has coincided with an uptick in seasonal bird movements, has led to a marked increase in the number of birds showing up at my water feature. I've had brief daily visits from Hermit Warblers, at least 3 different individuals judging from face patterns. I've also had a visit from a "Western" Flycatcher (Cordilleran breed just up the hill along the base of Mt Elden, but this is also the time of year when birds identified as Pacific-slope have also passed through). I'm seeing good numbers of birds that breed in the Elden Spring area (Western Tanagers, Lazuli Buntings, Western Tanagers, Bullock's Orioles, Juncos, B-H Grosbeaks, etc), with a nice mix of adults and juveniles of these species.
