Meteor Crater RV Park - 7 Aug
I had time for a quick trip to Meteor Crater before work and news of a Reddish Egret sent me back toward Flagstaff. Migrants are definitely trickling through. Today's highlights included an early Wilson's Warbler as well as 4-5 Empids. All the Empids I saw looked like this one, which I believe is a Dusky Flycatcher based on its drab appearance, short primary projection, a dark-ish bill:

   

   

   

Also, Patches, one of the two new cats, taking down a Big Poplar Sphinx moth...I'm afraid the lawn birding just got a lot harder:
