Lewis's woodpeckers San Fran and Forest
In a year which has seemed quiet for Lewis's woodpeckers, I was really happy to see two on some snags in the drainage at the corner of San Fran and Forest this morning.  I was doubly happy that they were still using the area despite the removal of the favored nest tree last year.
