East Flagstaff Painted Redstart
The first warbler in my East Flagstaff yard for 2019 is a good one - a Painted Redstart!

I suspect this means that the small handful of Painted Redstarts that summer along the base of Mount Elden are back for the year.

RE: East Flagstaff Painted Redstart
A nice complement to the Painted Redstart was a bright male Myrtle Warbler that showed up on April 3 (only the second time I've had a Myrtle Warbler in the yard). I'm still waiting for my first hummingbird of the year...I hear they're showing up elsewhere in the Flagstaff area.
