Happy New Year everyone!

Just thought I would start our tradition of listing our first three birds of the New Year.

Mine are:

Dark-eyed Junco
House Finch
Pygmy Nuthatch

May this year bring some great birds our way!

From Scottsdale Ranch Park in Scottsdale:
Abert's Towhee (One of them was attacking its image in the side mirrors of my car.)
Yellow-rumped Warbler
Gila Woodpecker
Vermilion Flycatcher was a close fourth

Eurasian blackbird, Song Thrush, Dunnock.

While visiting, I did get to see a colony of Black-billed Gull (Larus bulleri), which has the unenviable status of being the most threatened gull species in the world.

It is still nesting season in the antipodes;
