Page Springs - Pine Siskin

Well-Known Member
Perhaps continuing the theme of seed-eater irruption, a Pine Siskin at Page Spgs 28 Sept seemed rather early despite the free-wandering nature of this specie. Overall activity there was quite low and birds were not cooperative. A latish Nashville Warbler and an immature bunting that I couldn't get a good look at were the only others of note.
For visual interest, here's an immature Black Hawk from the weekend prior;

I am up to around 50 Pine Siskins in my yard, pretty much all day long, for the past week or so eating & drinking everything in sight. That's up from 2 Pine Siskins last week.
